Athar Climate Action

Athar Climate Action Program is an initiative aimed at fostering a vibrant startup ecosystem in Upper Egypt and supporting local startups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in addressing pressing climate challenges. The program is designed to provide mentorship, funding, and other resources to help startups and SMEs develop and scale innovative solutions to tackle climate change.

Athar Climate Action Hackathhon

The goal of the climate action hackathon is to bring together diverse perspectives and skills to create innovative solutions that can help mitigate the effects of climate change and promote sustainability. These solutions can be in the form of software or hardware products, services, or and initiatives. At the end of the event, teams will present their ideas to a panel of judges, which will select the best 3 projects to win financial prizes
30.000 LE for each of the top 3 startups.

Athar Climate Action Accelerator

The Climate Action Accelerator is a 3-month program that aims to support startups and SMEs in Upper Egypt in developing and scaling innovative solutions to tackle climate change. The accelerator utilizes the lean startup methodology, which is a process for rapidly testing and iterating on ideas, in order to validate assumptions about the market and the solution, and to minimize the risk of failure.
 10 Startups will get a 15000 LE Grant One Startup will get 150.000 LE as an investment opportunity

Climate Cluster

The climate action cluster: which aims to create a supportive ecosystem for these businesses, by connecting them with resources, mentorship, and funding opportunities during and after the accelerator. The cluster will also serve as a platform for these businesses to connect with potential partners, customers, and investors.

The first Cluster event will be “Climate Action Round Table”
It will be held in Minya, 25 Feb 2023
